The Associate Members Committee (AMC) represents associate members of BAOT/COT and provides strategic focus on issues which are important to associate members

The Associate Members Committee is consulted on issues and developments relating to associate membership from within the professional organisation. Working alongside the associate members officer, and with the associate member council link, the AMC identifies, informs and advises the College on the development of membership services for existing associate members and recruitment issues amongst occupational therapy support staff.

The committee is made up of eight members of BAOT – six associate members and two professional members. The associate members committee has terms of reference which state the purpose and guidelines for the committee structure. Each term of office is generally for three years and any vacant seats are advertised in the monthly members news magazine Occupational Therapy News (OTN) and on this website. All nominations for new seats are submitted to the committee and each new committee member is elected by the existing members on the committee.
