Applicability of NICE guidance differs for each type of guidance and each UK country as listed below:

• England - clinical guidelines, public health guidance, technology appraisals and interventional procedures
• Wales - clinical guidelines, technology appraisals and interventional procedures
• Northern Ireland - clinical guidelines (with implementation adivce from the Department of Health and Social Services and Public Safety Northern Ireland), technology appraisals (with implementation adivce from the DHSSPSNI), interventional procedures
• Scotland - mulitple technology appraisals (with implementation adivce from the NHS Quality Improvement Scotland), interventional procedures
• Visit the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence

The Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN) is the organisation responsible in Scotland for developing and disseminating national clinical guidelines containing recommendations to support effective practice based on current evidence.
