The College provides resources and support to enable you to actively pursue your own professional development

All occupational therapists need to engage in lifelong learning, or continued professional development (CPD), in order to remain registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and to enable the profession to develop.

Online CPD tools for BAOT members

BAOT members can access CPD tools on our Interactive Learning Opportunities Database (ILOD). ILOD includes formal learning opportunities, career planning and CPD tools.

Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration and audit

The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), formerly the Health Professions Council (HPC), is the regulatory body for occupational therapists and twelve other allied health professions. A selection of occupational therapists will be audited by the HPC in 2011 and the College provides members with advice about the HCPC registration and audit processes.
