OTs help celebrate NHS at the Olympics opening ceremony
During Friday's stunning London 2012 Olympics opening ceremony, which celebrated the best of British, there was a section dedicated to the National Health Service.
For this part of the Danny Boyle directed opening ceremony, those taking part were all NHS staff, and a number of the 800 involved were occupational therapists.
COT keeps services running during the Olympics with altered business hours
As a business based close to the main Olympic transport hub, the College of Occupational Therapists has been advised to plan for major disruption throughout the Olympic fortnight. To reduce the impact on our member services we will be changing our business hours for our headquarters at 106-114 Borough High Street, London SE11LB.
Occupational therapy student Ruby Miller makes Olympic history
Ruby Miller, an Occupational Therapy student at Cardiff University will run with the Olympic Torch through Cardiff’s city centre on 25 May.
Ruby was selected as part of the Samsung Torchbearer nomination programme and is one of 8000 Torchbearers who will carry the Olympic Flame across the UK.
