Vacancy on BJOT Editorial Board
A vacancy has arisen on the editorial board of the British Journal of Occupational Therapy (BJOT) at an extremely important time in the journal’s development.
BJOT is the only monthly peer-reviewed international occupational therapy journal, and publishes high quality international research and practice-related papers that contribute to the evidence base of the profession and which encourage scholarly discussion and debate.
Being a board member entails:
- reviewing the categories of submission
- working with an international advisory board
- having an overview of special issues
- improving the quality of articles to increase citations
Board members should have experience of publishing in and reviewing for peer-reviewed journals. Knowledge of e-publishing would be an advantage.
As a board member, you will play a key role in informing the policy and development of the journal in collaboration with the other board members and the editorial team. The board meets three or four times a year and in between deals with other work and manuscript reviews by email.
For the terms of reference, nomination form and an informal discussion, please contact Christine Craike, chairman of the editorial board by email christine.craik@hotmail.co.uk
Completed nomination forms need to be returned by Thursday 1 March 2012.
