3 - 9 November 2013, Occupational Therapy Week is your opportunity to share your passion for the profession, as well as engage with your local communities, peer groups and networks - both physical and online.
OT week is also an ideal platform to campaign and influence service commissioners, political representatives and other decision-makers to reinforce the value and contribution that occupational therapy makes to health and social care.
Tell BAOT/COT how you promoted the profession this year and help inspire other OTs.
Last years theme for Occupational Therapy Week 2012 was 'Occupational Therapy - Making a Difference', which is broad enough to encompass the messages you might want to promote about occupational therapy to the public, other professional colleagues, key stakeholders such as local politicians, commissioners and senior management within the health and social care sector, schools and colleges.
Thank you for supporting Occupational Therapy Week 2012.
A certificate template is available to download if you wish to acknowledge the efforts of your colleagues in promoting the profession during Occupational Therapy Week.
Use these resources to plan how you will promote occupational therapy throughout the coming year and during OT Week 2012
You could use the time between now and the OT Week 2012 to arrange a meeting with a service commissioner, political representative or other decision maker. There are lots of useful template letters and tips in this section of the site which will help you plan, prepare and promote your meeting.
