Learning & Development Board
The Learning and Development Board advises on the strategic direction of the College in respect of education and learning for all members
The principal activities of the Board are:
- to be aware of policy and professional issues that impact on education and learning
- to advise and work with officers of the College to ensure that these are addressed in strategic and operational plans.
- responsible for monitoring against those plans
The Chair of the Board is a nationally elected member of Council whose term of office is three years. Other members of the Board are invited to apply using a CV and personal statement. Selected members of the Board will then scrutinise those applications against criteria for the Board and any identified skills gaps before making their recommendations to the Chair of the Board. The Chair then makes the decision. Members are appointed for 3 years. There are 8 members of the Board in total, all of whom have full voting rights.
Elections/nominations are sought through Occupational Therapy News (OTN) when an individual member's term of office is due to expire. The Learning and Development Board is accountable to Council.
