Regional Committees

All members of BAOT are allocated to a regional group depending on geographical location

Each region has a Regional Committee made up of elected members who are provided with a small budget to support BAOT members in that region. Regional Committees meet to implement the agreed business plan of BAOT/COT and share best practice. There are eight Regional Committees in England and two in Scotland, one in Wales and one in Northern Ireland.  
 
Vacancies on Regional Committees are published every January. Potential members of Regional Committees are nominated for three year terms. The dates of these elections are published in OTnews and on our website.

BAOT encourages members to establish and join local groups

BAOT local groups are self-organised. Regional Committees provide BAOT local groups with financial support for their activities and events. Currently, there are about 100 local groups across the United Kingdom registered with the College of Occupational Therapists.
