Promote & Influence
All BAOT members are encouraged to become advocates for the profession within their professional and local communities
The College provides resources for occupational therapists who want to promote the profession and influence those who have an impact on it, such as service commissioners, managers, local government officers, national assemblies and governments.
OT Week is a great opportunity to reach potential service users - and future generations of occupational therapists. However, the work to promote the profession carries on all year round through consultations and lobbying. Check here for open consultations that the College needs members' assistance with, updates on the recent elections in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and the Health and Social Care Bill in England.
