All OT staff can join the British Association of Occupational Therapists. If you encourage two colleagues who are non-members to join they will enjoy all the benefits of membership and you can claim a free place on one of our events or a free College publication.
Your reward
Sign up two new members, either as an associate or a professional member for 12 months and you will receive a free place on a College event or a free College publication up to the value of £30. And remember you can get evidence to add to your CPD portfolio when you promote your professional body.
Your colleague's reward:
- Support for developing their portfolio for HPC re-registration in 2009;
- Access to CPD tools, including the web-based ILOD;
- Evidence demonstrating their professional status within their workplace;
- Member-only access to best practice and professional information to improve their practice;
Your colleagues will be entitled to a specially discounted membership rate in their first year.
If they are a UK income tax payer, they can claim tax relief on 75% of their BAOT membership fees.
The small print
To qualify for your free place, your colleague must:
- complete the application forms.
- commit to joining for one year and pay a full 12 month membership fees. Payment can be made in full or, alternatively, by monthly direct debit.
- You need to be named on the application form as a sponsor to ensure you get your reward. .
Free places are only available from a specially selected list of one-day events and covers conference/workshop fees only (excludes the Annual Conference and Support Worker conference). Travel and accommodation costs are not included in this offer.
