Resources for Running a Regional Event or Study Day
The following information is provided by the Specialist Section to assist you and your region in running a study day or event.

First of all, please make yourself familiar the following documents -

Preparation
Finances
Regional groups may request finances from the specialist section NEC to run a regional event or study day.
If the total costs incurred are likely to be more than £100 then a request for finances should be made to the NEC treasurer.

Advertise your Event
Specialist Section Events can be advertised free of charge on the Children, Young People and Families Specialist Section Website.
To do so, send a completed advert proforma to the NEC website link (details of who can be found on the committee pages).

Applications & Payment
All payment should be made in the form of a cheque made payable to COT SS CYPF.

Who is Coming to your Event?

Speakers Expenses
Are you paying external speaker(s) to speak at your event, or will you be funding their travel costs?
If so, all speakers must complete and return a speakers contract. This must include their national insurance number to ensure payment by the NEC treasure

Finances
Payment of the speaker: A completed expense form must be sent to the NEC treasurer along with the speaker contract.

Please ensure that any monies made at a regional event are paid back to the NEC treasurer. This can be done by completing a paying in form.
