Retirement news

Janet Kingston (centre) retired from The Mobility Centre at Nottingham’s City Hospital
Janet Kingston (centre) retired from The Mobility Centre at Nottingham's
City Hospital at the end of January after a long and productive career in the
NHS, working predominantly with upper limb amputees and limb deficient children.

Janet trained at Derby School of Occupational Therapy with the 1967 - 1970 intake and has worked in Nottingham since that time, juggling her work commitments with bringing up her family.

Nottingham's Mobility Centre owes much of it's prestigious upper limb prosthetic rehabilitation reputation to Janet, as she developed the service, together with her colleagues, to place it as one of the most experienced treatment centres in the UK. As well as her work in upper limb prosthetics, Janet has also had extensive involvement in the special seating service at Nottingham.

Many families have reason to be appreciative of the commitment Janet has shown and all join me, together with her colleagues, in wishing her a long, healthy and happy retirement.
