CYPF 'Striving for the Best' training event - Call for Papers
On Monday 26th November 2012 in London the College of Occupational Therapists Specialist Section - Children, Young People & Families will host a one day training event with key note speaker Eadaoin Bhreathnach.
This day will focus on the concept of family centred care, and working posively and collaboravely with clients to achieve truly patient related outcomes.
Occupational therapists work on groundbreaking CBeebies programme to get children moving
Occupational therapists, Dr Lynda Foulder-Hughes and SallyPayne, are part of the team bringing a unique children’s animation to our screens. Lynda and Sally, who volunteer at The Dyspraxia Foundation, worked as movement consultants on Tree Fu Tom, a fantasy adventure animation aimed at children aged 4-6 years old.
The ASD Clinical Forum provides support and resources for occupational therapists working with children, young people & families in an ASD setting
Current aims of ASD Clinical Forum include:
- establishing the ASD network
- providing support and resources working in this setting
The NEC ASD link provides support and resources to the groups including support for training events. They act as a link between occupational therapists, the NEC and COT and represent the needs of OTs working in an ASD setting, highlighting priorities and specific issues.
